What happened to Universal Sports Network and why is it no longer available through NBC Bay Area?

As of January 1, 2012, Universal Sports Network transitioned from an over-the-air digital multicast channel to a network exclusively available to viewers through their cable or satellite provider.  This was a decision made by Universal Sports Network.

With the Olympics coming up, how can I still watch Universal Sports programming?

You should contact your cable or satellite provider to see if they offer it on your local lineup.

I checked with my cable provider and they don’t offer it.  What else can I do?

You can contact Universal Sports.  They have set up the following email address: keepus@universalsports.com.

Will NBC Bay Area add another digital channel in its place?

At this time, NCB Bay Area has decided that we will not add another channel in its place.
