HAIR METAL: "Earth-shatteringly loud" hair metal band Motley Crue is playing at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View tonight. Tickets are $14.50 to $94.50 and the show starts at 5 p.m.

IT'S A FAIR: Jonesing for some animal competitions, rides and live music? Then check out the 2009 Santa Clara County Fair, which runs until Sunday. Admission is free and gates are open between 10 a.m and 8:00 p.m.

N.E.R.D. and Clipse: The production duo behind Britney Spears and Jay-Z performs their unique brand of hip-hop tonight at The Warfield in San Francisco. Tickets are $39.50 to $52.50 and the show starts at 9 p.m.
