Feel like getting dressed up, dropping a bill and listening to the mighty free style lyricist that is Mos Def while ringing in the new year? Here is your chance.

Always one of the best New Year's Eve events in San Francisco, Sneakers Required brings Mos Def, upscale attire with sneakers, an open bar and food from Farmer Brown and Papalote to a celebration in the city.

Tickets are $95 to get in and while most of the show is sold out you can still score some ballots of your own from Razor Gator or folks at the door.

Mos Def, famed for his cutting edge lyrics and being seen in movies such as "The Italian Job," with Charlize Theron, will be joined on stage by special guests and several djs.

The show kicks off at 9 p.m. at the Yerba Buena Center of the Arts Forum at 701 Mission St., between 3rd St. & 4th in San Francisco.
