Peugeot Experiments with Shape-Shifting Cars

Here's something amazingly cool that may never happen (but we can dream): Peugeot has developed a shape-shifting concept car that could run on electric motors. The car is made of four individual pods, and resembles an amusement park ride more than any car on the road today. Each pods holds one person, and they're all covered by a flexible polymer covering.

While that's certainly enough to raise an eyebrow, here's where it gets really out there: The pods can be arranged in any configuration, and the owner can add more of them. Each pod has its own electrical motor. They can even be arranged vertically to park in extremely small spaces.
