What do you do if you have to wait a year for your dream mansion to be built and you have to move out of your penthouse? If you're the CEO of Twitter, you move into a temporary mansion worth a cool $2.4 million.

Evan Williams, tweeted the listing of his two-bedroom, two-bathroom loft in the historic Heublein Building in San Francisco's SoMA district earlier this month. And now the head of Twitter -- along with his wife and newborn baby -- is moving into a five-bedroom fully restored house on Duncan Street in San Francisco, according to real estate blog Socket Site. He is currently building a home that isn't expected to be completed until 2010.

The Owen Kennerly designed three level house was fully torn down and rebuilt with a full guest house and a private garden. The home has open beam ceilings and boast views of Twin Peaks and downtown San Francisco.

SocketSite reports the house was sold for $2.4 million in April but an MLS listing of the property says it was also available for rent at $8,500 a month for the main house and $2,500 cottage. Meanwhile Williams' SoMA penthouse is still available for $1,498,000.
