Michael J. Fox Comes to San Francisco

It only took a little over 20 years but finally Alex P. Keaton is going back to the future and coming to San Francisco.

Better known by his alter ego, Michael J. Fox will be part of the City Arts and Lectures series Tuesday evening at the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House this Friday at 8 p.m.

The award-winning film and television actor's struggle with Parkinson's disease has provided a public platform for unprecedented advocacy and research into the degenerative disorder. He was best known for his leading roles in the "Back to the Future" trilogy and the 1980s television show "Family Ties."

Fox will have a conversation about his life and career with Michael Pollan, a journalist, activist, and author of several books on the agriculture and food industries.

Proceeds from the premium tickets will benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
