Alex Rodriguez (Finally!) Lands a New Manhattan Home

It's been a busy off-season for Alex Rodriguez. The Yankee and current squeeze, Cameron Diaz have been spotted all over New York City in recent months touring available properties. Just last week, The Post reported that the duo checked out a $18.95 million swanky townhouse at 400 West Street in the Village.

Apparently, A-Rod's housing search has finally come to an end. The slugger is said to be vacating his bachelor pad at 15 Central Park West and buying a five-bedroom, full-floor penthouse at The Rushmore at 80 Riverside Boulevard. The Wall Street Journal reports that "the sale price was between $5.5 and $6 million for the unit... but a contract had not yet been drafted." The penthouse features sweeping views of the Hudson River and the Extell developed building includes amenities such as a high-end gym and a Kidville children's playroom.

The timing of A-Rod's purchase couldn't be better--position players were due to report to spring training this past weekend.
