This week's rescue brings us to the home of Dana Zachary in Queens Village, New York. Dana is a former teacher and librarian and has founded a non-profit organization called the The Book Donation Connection (BDC) that provides books to schools, hospitals, community centers and homeless shelters. To date, the BDC has provided the community with over 30,000 books! Dana runs and operates her grassroots program straight out of her home, from her unfinished garage space. Since Dana has already given so much, George and his crew of handymen, along with decorator Jill Vegas, decided to surprise her with a rescue, taking her rundown garage and transforming it into the perfect space to accommodate her labor of love.
