A Second Serving of “Dinner for Schmucks”

Another trailer for "Dinner for Schmucks" has arrived, and while it doesn't quite grab us the way the first one did, it's still promising.

For the uninitiated, the film stars Paul Rudd as an on-the-rise suit for whom the final hurdle on his way to a corner office is to take part in his bosses' monthly dinner where each of them brings along an "idiot" to make fun of.

If it all sounds vaguely familiar, it's because "Schmucks" is a remake of the 1998 French comedy "The Dinner Game."

This new trailer reveals some bizarre subplot featuring Jermaine Clement ("Flight of the Conchords") dressed as some sort of Pan-like man-goat, and the overall feel is a little more slapstick than the first one. The new clip does feature even more Zach Galifianakis, which is only a good sign.

"Dinner for Schmucks" hits theaters July 23.
