DiCaprio Will Not Sing as Frank Sinatra

Leonardo DiCaprio's film transformation into Frank Sinatra is still happening, but it won't be 100 percent.

Director Martin Scorsese said the actor will not take on the legendary vocals when filming gets underway.

"With those records?" Scorsese told the Hollywood Reporter when about Sinatra biopic. "Frank will do the singing.

Whether it's Meryl Streep or Gwyneth Paltrow, one of the great parts of watching great actors taking on singing parts is to see if they actually have the vocal chops. But faced with arguably the greatest singer of the modern era, Scorsese and DiCaprio decided to let Ol' Blue Eyes do it his way.

No one likes voice tracks which get in the way of the movie experience. But it's the right choice here. DiCaprio can instead focus on filling out the rest of Sinatra's fascinating personality and life.

Scorsese says he's still waiting for a script for the project.
