TEN THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU – 8:00PM (ABC Family)
It’s the series premiere of a show whose title/conceit will almost certainly leave you sad that Heath Ledger is no longer with us. If you recall, the movie this show is based on was itself based on Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew.” Follow me a bit further and you will recall that that “Moonlighting” once did an ENTIRE episode in Victorian garb that was inspired by the same play. And so, should the producers of this show decide to have a stunt episode where the characters are done up in Victorian garb, it is indeed possible that a wormhole in the universe will open and Heath Ledger will be brought back to us, ALIVE. I have no scientific evidence to back this up. All I have is my gut, and my gut is never wrong. Unless you count that time I ate the burrito I found in the trash can. Bad choice. ANTICIPATION: YOU MAY NOT HATE IT AT ALL!
TOUCHED BY JESUS? – 8:00PM (NatGeo – an NBC/Universal network)
According to my guide, tonight three controversial claims about Jesus are put to the test, with “amazing” results. This ought to make for interesting conversation at the dinner table over Easter. ANTICIPATION: HIGH AND MIGHTY
24 – 9:00PM (FOX)
It was recently announced that this will indeed be the last season of “24,” to make way for a feature film. I hope Jack shoots at least one more person in the face before the season is over. You know, for old time’s sake. ANTICIPATION: I MISS HIM AND HIS TEMPER ALREADY
DANCING WITH THE STARS – 8:00PM (ABC)
I watched this for five minutes the other night. One of the pro dancers was wearing a white tassel dress that turned sheer every time she twisted her body and the tassels flew up, which was often. It was a good use of five minutes. ANTICIPATION: SKIN!
THE BIG BANG THEORY – 9:30PM (CBS)
This is my in-laws’ favorite comedy. I don’t mean that in any sort of mocking way. They really do love it. ANTICIPATION: NERD HUMOR!
