"Precious" Dominates Independent Spirit Awards
"Precious" picked up five wins at the Spirit Awards, taking home Best Picture, Best Screenplay by a First-Time Writer, Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress honors for its stars Mo'Nique and Gabourey Sidibe. The film swept every category it was nominated in.
