Facebook in Talks With Hollywood on Oculus Rift Experiences

Its was only a few months ago  that Facebook spent $2 billion on the acquisition of Oculus and now the social network is in talks with major Hollywood film studios to create material for its virtual reality headset Oculus Rift.

Facebook is in talks to create new content for the virtual reality tool, according to the Next Web, for studios such as Disney, Fox, Warner Bros., Paramount and NBCUniversal. These "Oculus experiences" would be used in the promotion of films but films could also be "released directly to the device," the Next Web reported.

Apparently the talks are in the "exploratory stage," but it would seem that these virtual reality experiences would work perfectly with big-budget blockbusters -- including HBO's breakout TV hit "Game of Thrones."
