Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg is Latest Billionaire

When Facebook's stock closed on a record high, its second in command, Sheryl Sandberg, became a billionaire.

Sandberg's 12.3 million Facebook shares are worth close to $700 million, while she also has an additional $300 million in selling shares and another 4.7 million shares that are vesting -- all which likely moves her past the the $1 billion mark, according to Bloomberg News.

Sandberg, Facebook's chief operating officer, is 44 and is one of the youngest female billionaires in the world. “Did she do a billion dollars-worth of work? I don’t know,” David Kirkpatrick, author of “The Facebook Effect,” told Bloomberg News. “She had the good fortune to land in the right place where her talents could really be applauded.”

Sandberg also sits on the boards of Starbucks and Walt Disney and recently wrote a book, "Lean In" about women in business. However, at $1 billion, Sandberg's wealth is significantly less than Facebook found Mark Zuckerberg's, according to CNN. Zuckerberg's wealth is estimated at $25 billion -- and he's still in his 20s.
