Google Flights to Make Finding Deals Easier

Google wants to make sure it's the place people go to find the cheapest flights, so it's launching Google Flights, a new search tool complete with a calendar and dates with the cheapest prices.

Google Flights' calendar gives dates with the cheapest prices in green and will list flights for each day based on cost, according to CNN. Google Flights also gives a bar chart of prices throughout the year and offers an interactive map that shows prices for global destinations.

"Though it's sometimes hard to pull the trigger because you're afraid the price will drop tomorrow (or next Tuesday, maybe?), our experience shows it's usually best to book right away," Eric Zimmerman, Google Flights product manager, wrote in a blog post.

While much of what Google is offering is available by using travel apps, Google's new offering will keep more eyeballs on its search engine and tools.
