Google Plies Republicans with Designer Espresso

Well, it's not booze or strippers, but tech giant Google is fueling Republicans with free designer coffee at the Republican National Convention.

Apparently the Google espresso bar is giving out the expensive coffee to anyone with a credential and has had lines starting at 9 a.m. and continuing throughout the day, according to the Washington Post.

However, this isn't strictly partisan because Google also intends to offer the same service at the Democratic National Convention in North Carolina.  “The poor coffee people are exhausted,” said a Google spokeswoman. “We’re happy to keep people recharged.”

It also doesn't hurt for Google to ingratiate itself to politicians, especially as it gears up to fight various patent battles.
