March Madness Free on iPad, iPhone

Maybe the office pool winner will win an iPad this year in celebration of the NCAA streaming March Madness -- for free -- on iPads, iPhones and iPod Touches.

Bloomberg.com reports that the games broadcast by Turner Sports and CBS were $9.99 last year, but free for 2011.

"We want people using the product with these companion views while they're watching it on TV," Time Warner Vice President Michael Adamson told Bloomberg. "If that's the case, that's a success in our minds, because that's a good consumer experience and a larger aggregate audience as a result."

A special app will be developed for the iPad.

Also for the first time, each game will be shown nationally and in its entirety on CBS, TBS, TNT or truTV.
