Menlo Park to Discuss Facebook Expansion

Facebook has only been on its new campus for a little over a month and it already wants to remodel -- but then a $100 billion IPO will do that to you.

The Menlo Park City Council will hold a special study session Tuesday to discuss the Facebook's plans to expand its new campus.

Representatives from both the social-networking company and the city's planning department will make presentations.

Several issues will be discussed, including the maximum number of employees allowed on the campus, traffic issues and expanding the western side of the campus.

Facebook wants to expand its western campus and build a five-story parking structure to help accommodate up to 6,600 employees.

Tuesday's session will begin at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at 701 Laurel St. in Menlo Park.
