YouTube Adds Creative Commons

Users can now remix, edit, and share videos with Creative Commons licenses.

Google announced Thursday that YouTube will now have a Creative Commons license available for videos.

The Tube is teaming up with C-Span, Al Jazeera, Voice of America and PublicResource.org to provide over 10,000 clips to users, who will be able to share, edit and remix without the worry of fees, said Venture Beat.

Users will be able to put a Creative Commons CC-BY license on their videos, which allow others to remix a copy of their work.

The Creative Commons section of YouTube is available now, in the video editing area of the site. Simply click the "CC" button on the top left, to search all of YouTube for available vids.
