Zuckerberg Beats Jobs Again

No need to tell Google+ but Mark Zuckerberg wields a lot of power.

British newspaper the Guardian put out its annual list of the 100 most influential people in UK media and on top of that order is the young CEO of Facebook.

Zuckerberg topped more tenured Silicon Valley heavyweights, such as Steve Jobs.

But the list does not jump from Zuckerberg to the likes of the Apple CEO and Microsoft's Steve Balmer. Instead the No. 2 most influential person on British media is Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey.

The rankings show the power of social-networking in the role of story gathering and telling.

Jobs showed up as the fifth most powerful person, while Wikileak's founder Julian Assange jumped from 58th on last year's list to No. 32 in 2011.

The list was compiled using the feedback of experts from "the fields of technology, PR and media."
