With an iPad Mini users will be able to be disappointed with Apple Maps even more conveniently.
Invitations go out Oct. 10 for an Oct. 17 event where Apple will announce the iPad Mini, expected to be on shelves Nov. 2, according to Fortune magazine's site.
Of course, Apple has not acknowledged that the product even exists, is being developed or is an idea in someone's head.
Nevertheless, rumors have persisted that Apple will launch a smaller iPad to give itself a lower price point -- better to compete with Amazon's Kindle and Kindle Fire and Google's Nexus 7.
Some leaked, unverified photos of the device show a 7.85 inch screen with an aluminum casing on the back and the new Lightning connector.
Mark your calendars and place your bets as to which rumors will come true on or about Oct. 17.
