Apple, AT&T and Sprint have confirmed that they will begin accepting pre-orders one minute after midnight.

If you just can't wait that extra minute, Verizon says they will accept orders starting at 12 midnight sharp.

The phone doesn't go on sale in the physical world until 8:00 a.m. on September 21, so if you'd rather head down to the line-party outside your local Apple Retail Store, make sure you pack a lunch. History has taught us those lines can be long.

If you're Steve Wozniak, pack a lunch, iPad, iPad 2, iPad 3, a couple extra iPhones, iPod, a Garmin, a Kindle, some extra batteries and of course a Game Boy or two.
