If you were around in the Eighties, you'll best remember Boy George as the lead singer of Culture Club, the British pop group that had global hits with songs like "Karma Chameleon" and "Do You Really Wanna Hurt Me" sold tens of millions of albums worldwide.
Younger dance music fans, however, may first identify Boy George as an electronic music DJ, a career he's nurtured since the early Nineties. His local appearances as a mixmaster are few and far between, but he'll be at San Francisco nightclub Mighty to spin with his DJ touring partner Marc Vedo on October 18.
The pair recently collaborated with Federico Scavo and John Gibbons on a single called "These Gods Will Fall."
Tickets are $25 until October 17 and $30 if purchased in advance of the 9 PM start tme on October 18.
