Dirtybird Records has been a funky ambassador of San Francisco house across the globe for nearly a decade, and an event this week finds one of its key dignitaries reaching out to another worldly community.
The label's Justin Martin joins Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation in headlining a benefit for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America at Monarch on August 7. The event runs from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.; admission is $15 in advance via Ticketfly.
Dirtybird fans should also take note that tickets to the Dirtybird BBQ on Treasure Island on September 14 featuring Martin, Claude VonStroke, J. Phlip and Christian Martin is getting close to selling out.
