Earlier this week, we posted a list of Coachella artists who are performing in the Bay Area this week. Now, a popular rideshare service is offering another way for Northern Californians to get in the spirit of the Southern California music festival, which returns to Indio on April 18-20.
On April 18 and 19, Sidecar is running a promotion called Sidechella where select cars will be bumping a playlist of songs inspired by Coachella and will come equipped with party favors like glow sticks, sunglasses and tank tops.
Oakland's Tumbleweed Wanderers will be riding around in one car from 5-8 PM on April 18. If you are lucky enough to randomly select the ride that the band is in, you'll be treated to a live performance during your route.
First time riders can use the code "Sidechella" any time this weekend for a $15 credit on their new account. The company will also be offering the chance to earn a $100 credit to those who post a picture of their ride to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #Sidechella.
Again, remember that AXS TV will broadcast performances from Coachella throughout the weekend, so if you don't take this Carchella experience, there's always Couchella.
