Iamsu! Tops iTunes Chart With Debut

Richmond rapper/producer takes country by storm

It's a happy and proud week for Bay Area hip-hop and for Richmond, California as rapper/producer Sudan Williams — aka IAMSU! — hit the top of the iTunes hip-hop chart yesterday with the release of his debut album Sincerely Yours

The album features contributions from Bay Area OGs like Too $hort and E-40, international stars like 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa, and members of his own crew HBK Gang. But Williams is also prolific and strong on his own, with a likeable magnetism that should poise him for wider acclaim.

The spot at the top of the charts can be painfully fleeting and Sincerely Yours is currently number two after last night's peak at number one. But that position can flip flop back in an instant, particularly given Williams' prowess at social media. Don't believe us?
