The Beatles and Pink Floyd are the subjects of two new shows at the Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland in honor of Laserium's 40th year.

Those who were alive in the 70s and 80s might recall this classic laser-powered music show, which reached Herculean heights in the latter decade. The shows take place in the dark for a fully immersive experience, albeit one now probably rendered a bit more kitschy with time and the advent of more realistic technology.

Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and a general Beatles show run Fridays to Sundays through January 2014. Admission is $12, or $22 including a ticket into Chabot's other exhibits.
