With the help of a live band, LA's legendary hip-hop producer DJ Quik is set to usher in the opening of a new concert hall called Grand-Live on Aug. 9.
Grand-Live is located at 420 14th Street at Broadway in Oakland and features a 1920s-style interior with a 2000-square foot dance floor. It is part of a three-story collective called the Venue Oakland, which also contains a restaurant and lounge called Vinyl, a piano bar available for private events called Clef, the Blend juice bar, and 510 Spokes bike valet service.
Tickets for the 18 and over grand opening are $22.50 with advance purchase.
