REC is a new exhibition from San Francisco DJ, producer and visual artist Romanowski (Roman Pierre Federico).
The show presents the work of a multi-faceted musician. Recordings of his original albums and DJ sets are available at the show, but his love of music transcends the audio form into the impressive stencil work and collages of found objects that celebrate the sonic form. The two mediums share a connectivity via the aesthetic of sample culture, where a collection of disparate parts combine into an original new idea.
REC is on display at Luna Rienne Gallery (3318 22nd Street) in San Francisco through April 28.
