Prominent Bay Area rapper Too $hort is collaborating with one of pop music's biggest stars. He'll appear on the next Lady Gaga album Artpop, as Mother Monster herself announced on the red carpet of Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards in Brooklyn.
Not much is known about the songs on Artpop, save for the recently released first single "Applause." The album will be released on November 11.
Too $hort is also busy working on his own solo endeavors, including a new album and a book about his history with Oakland. While he's sold millions of records and enjoyed a solid fan base for decades, this collaboration is sure to launch him into a new level of recognition.
No word on whether there will be a music video and/or crazy costumes to support this song, but it's certainly fun to ponder.
