Ty Segall's New Album Streams for One Week

NPR shares first listen of 'Manipulator'

Ty Segall has bad news and good news for his local fans.

First, the bad news (because we believe in ripping off the Band-Aid quickly): The Bay Area favorite is embarking on a European tour and has no scheduled shows around these parts for the next few months.

And now, the good news: Segall is releasing a brand new album called Manipulator next week. It will be sold in digital and physical formats including vinyl and even cassette, but will not be served up to streaming services. Fortunately, NPR is offering a free stream this week via its "First Listen" column before it drops on August 26.
