Update: DJ Quik's Grand-Live Kickoff Rescheduled

Oakland concert hall now opens on Sept. 13

With the help of a live band, LA's legendary hip-hop producer DJ Quik is set to usher in the opening of a new concert hall called Grand-Live on September 13. The concert was originally scheduled for tonight (August 9) but has been moved due to circumstances beyond the promoter's control. Tickets from tonight's show will be honored on the new date.

Also canceled is the venue's second show with Slum Village on August 10. Tickets can be refunded or held and honored at a to-be-announced makeup date.

Grand-Live is located at 420 14th Street at Broadway in Oakland and features a 1920s-style interior with a 2,000-square foot dance floor. It is part of a three-story collective called the Venue Oakland, which also contains a restaurant and lounge called Vinyl, a piano bar available for private events called Clef, the Blend juice bar, and 510 Spokes bike valet service.
