    Deerhoof, a quirky San Francisco quartet.

    San Francisco's genre-bending Deerhoof is celebrating 20 years of recorded history — and the Material Girl — with a new album called La Isla Bonita.

    The title of Deerhoof's fun and quirky 12th studio album is where the Madonna connection ends; Don't worry, there's no cover of "Like a Virgin." Instead, the band is more overtly influenced by artists such as Lou Reed, Beck and Radiohead.
