Bonds to Debate Hater Fan on TV

Barry Bonds spent weeks ducking mics at his perjury trial, and now he's sprinting towards one -- to debate a fan that hates him on a new television series. (No word if the 'fan' is former teammate Jeff Kent -- because that would be some thumpin' television.)

"H8R" is hosted by Mario Lopez. The format is simple: celebrities debate fans that hate them. Not having to look far, Lopez lined one up for Bonds, and he bit, according to Hardballtalk.com.

"Barry was really into it; he started coming up with ideas right away," the show's creator Lisa Gregorisch Dempsey told the New York Post.

Baseball villain to many, hero to some, and reigning home run king of Major League Baseball (sorry, Sadaharu Oh), Bonds will be doing his own public relations, apparently, as he tries to polish a tarnished image.

Recently, Bonds has pledged to put Bryan Stow's children through college. Stow was beaten into a coma on opening day this year at Dodger Stadium.
