At least some Giants fans are looking ahead to 2012, ready to put a pin in the 2011 campaign. Others are required to look ahead: the schedule makers.
One highlight from next year will be the interleague contests against the Oakland Athletics (once in May and again in June).
The 20102 season starts for San Francisco at Arizona on Friday, April 6. The home opener is April 13 against the Pittsburgh Pirates (always dangerous until around mid-July). The Phillies follow the Bucs to McCovey Cove.
When do the Dodgers come to town? June 25-27, July 27-29 and Sept. 7-9.
As for interleague play, the Giants face the American League West next year, with a series against the once-vanquished Texas Rangers on June 8-10, then a nine-game road trip to Seattle, Anaheim and (wait for it) across the Bay to Oakland (June 22-24). The Giants host the A's May 18-20.

* Home games on Memorial Day (May 28) and Labor Day (Sept. 3) -- both against the D-Backs.
