Man Brings Authentic Willie Mays Jersey on ‘Antiques Roadshow'

On a recent episode of "Antiques Roadshow" someone brought in a game-worn Willie Mays jersey from 1961.

"Antiques Roadshow" isn't something I hit up too often. But if I'd known that they were going to be valuing an authentic Willie Mays jersey from 1961, well, I would've fired up the old DVR.

Thankfully the folks at Huffington Post do something called "TV Replay," which has the "highlights" from "Roadshow."

Anyway, as you may already know, the point of the show is to bring stuff from your garage or whatever and get it appraised. The dude who brought in this jersey apparently DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS ONCE WORN BY WILLIE MAYS. (Yes, the caps lock indicates anger.)

The geniuses at "Roadshow" found Mays name written in the pants and the shirt and as such, it appears that whoever the owner is will now be in possession of a $25,000 to $30,000 piece of baseball lore. Couldn't happen to a better guy.
