Police helicopters flew over the San Francisco Giants game Tuesday night to honor fallen police officers and their families.
Families like the Moodys, who are remembering Brad Moody, a Richmond police officer killed in 2008.
"It helps us know he's always going to be remembered by communities around us," says Moody's widow, Susan. "It's good to be around families that are going through exactly what we're going through."
The Moody girls were just 1 and 3 when their dad died.
They have a lot in common with 8-year-old Cody Lasater. His dad was a Pittsburg police officer when he was killed in the line of duty.
With a father killed in the line of duty in common, the kids feel comfortable with one another. When you ask Cody why he says, "I really don't know why, I just feel happy."
He is also quick to tell you about his dad and show you his shirt, "My dads name was Larry Lasater and this was his badge number."

The California Peace Officers Memorial Fund brings these families together.
It's a club no one wants to join but Susan Moody says each year there are new grieving families to meet.
"Unfortunately year after year I meet so many new families," Susan Moody says. "It's really hard, my heart breaks for them all."
The Giants honored 22 officers at Tuesday night's game.
Friends of Santa Cruz police Sgt. Butch Baker and Det. Elizabeth Butler wore shirts in their honor.
The Santa Cruz officers were killed in February.
Susan Moody knows the depth of their grief and hopes they can feel the joyful moments too
"It's still hard but I feel like our loved ones would want us to continue to have fun at the same time and remember them," she says.
