The Giants are never short on musical talent at baseball games. The Grateful Dead and Huey Lewis are staples of AT&T Park performances.
But they got a fun little surprise on Sunday night, when rapper Lil' Wayne jumped on the field to lead the crowd in "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."
First up, the "official" video from MLB.com, which is incredibly weird considering that there's no crowd noise.
That's not Giants fans being totally in shock. It's actually just the way it got recorded. I know this because in a different version, the crowd is very much behind Weezy.
Of course, for as cool and weird as it is to have Lil' Wayne singing the seventh-inning stretch, it's not nearly as cool and weird as the fact that the rapper is apparently good friends with ... Ryan Theriot.
