The San Francisco Giants lost one more game this year, and it was one most folks probably missed.
The team was rejected by the U.S. Patent and Trademark office when they tried to get the rights to the San Francisco logo that has been worn on their uniforms 1993.
It's a similar script that's found on all those tourist-trap shirts around town. The trademark was granted to Gogo Sports of Hayward, earlier this year, says The Snitch.
"By not registering it for 18 years, the Giants allowed a junior user to say they started using the font and logo in 2008, and take a lead at the Trademark Office," explains patent and trademark attorney Milord Keshishian.
