A Grape Weekend in Alexander Valley

30+ WINERIES: People will drive a good distance to enjoy a special event at one vineyard, or maybe to visit a couple of winemaking houses that happen to occupy the same stretch. But 30 is a magic number. It signifies choices and variety, and lots of both, too. And that's the number of wineries that will be open-housing it during Taste Alexander Valley. Actually, it'll be a smidge over 30, which will only make deciding which to visit all the more difficult (and delightful).

WEEKEND WINE: The dates are Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22. Quaking Hills Winery, Stonestreet Winery, and Pendleton Estate are all on the roster (Clos du Bois and Coppola will also be pouring, too). As with all big weekends devoted to the pleasures of wine-tastery, various wineries will be hosting singers and sweet deals. It'll just depend on where you end up (but bet you'll end up somewhere good). Alexander Valley is a pinch north-ish and east-ish of Healdsburg, if you've been wanting to do a Healdsburg run. We always are wanting that.

PRICE: A weekend pass is $65 ahead of time, $75 once you get there.
