TO MARKET: Naysayers decry the dearth of public markets in the U.S. from time to time, and we often join in the naysayery, but the public markets that do exist are exceedingly robust and well-cheesed and well-wined and well-touted. From the well-touted files comes this recent slideshow from Frommers, which highlights the best of the expansive, sells-everything purveyeries in the land.
OXBOW ADORATION:Napa's own Oxbow Public Market made the delicious cut. Frommers cites spots like the Pica Maize Kitchen and Ritual Coffee Roasters, as well as Oxbow's impressive expansiveness (it's 40,000 feet of pure foodie wonderland). While going and just wandering the stalls is always a perfect Oxbow outing, there are several events just ahead, like Food Truck Fridays. Eye the full roster.
