MUSIC NIGHTS: Free tunes happening every night of the week save Monday? It's a summertime way of life around North Tahoe, and the 2011 High Notes season will certainly keep the sounds rockin'. First up? Blues Monsters, Funky Miracle, The Roemers, and the Third Hand String Band on Sunday, June 19 (the spot is Commons Beach). After that? Lots of shows. How lots? This lots. Crystal Bay Club and the Village at Squaw Valley are two more locales that'll get their share of concerts over the summer.
OTHER HAPS: There are some ticketed events that will have fees, you should note, like the late-July Wanderlust Festival. Check out the whole schedule, what's going down where, and if it coincides with your trip to the big lake. Oh, we know. You go to splash and boat and laze about, and that is all well and good. But come evening? Yeah. You want to shake it, we're betting. And so you should. If only there was a way to shake it on Mondays, too, because Mondays need their shaking. Maybe next year, High Notes?
