Pebble Beach Food & Wine

BEACH-CLOSE BASH: There are so many major chefs headed for Pebble Beach Food & Wine, which marks its fourth year in 2011, that the wise thing to do is just start listing them here. Jacques Pépin, Yigit Pura, Tom Colicchio, Charlie Trotter, Guy Fieri, Tyler Florence. And more, more, and lots more mores after that. And these men and women of the plate won't simply be glad-handing fans. Oh no. They'll be hosting demos and talking cooking and leading wine tastings. In short, it is a foodie's paradise, and the plates'll be piled high with starry interactions.

AND FOOD, TOO: Two of the marquee events of the long weekend include The Delicacy Dinner, which is a meal at Club XIX with a quintet of top toques (Mr. Trotter and Joachim Spichal will be two of the guests). And then there's the Don't Mess with Texas round-up, which will spotlight the culinary wizards creating delectable, Lone-Star-y suppers on a daily basis. And, alongside all of this tasty tastiness is the setting of Pebble Beach. That uber-fresh ocean air has such a way of stoking the appetite.

DATES: April 28 through May 1, 2011. "A la carte" tickets to each event start at $100. Browse and dream away, peckish foodie. Dream away.
