    Geraud Moncure is the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. sports anchor for NBC Bay Area News and the host of “Giants’ Clubhouse,” a half-hour monthly program taking viewers behind-the-scenes of Giants baseball with exclusive interviews and all access feature segments. 

    Moncure anchors nightly from the Comcast SportsNet studios in San Francisco and works with their news team to deliver in-depth, comprehensive local sports coverage by utilizing Comcast SportsNet’s vast resources, which include the region’s largest sports news desk, state-of-the-art facilities and deep access to Bay Area teams, players and coaches.
    Moncure most recently was a freelance correspondent at the NFL Network. Prior to the NFL Network, he spent five years as the sports director and anchor at KHSL-TV (CBS) and KNVN-TV (NBC) in Chico, Calif. overseeing the stations’ sports coverage. A Chico State graduate and former two-year starting point guard for the Wildcats basketball team (1987-88, 1988-89 seasons), Moncure interned at the stations to start his broadcasting career after his playing days.
    Prior to his time at KHSL-TV and KNVN-TV, Moncure worked in newsrooms all over the country including KYMA-TV (NBC) in Yuma, Ariz. as the weekend sports-anchor/weekday sports reporter, WMC-TV (NBC) in Memphis, Tenn. in the same capacity, where he covered SEC Football and Memphis State basketball. He then headed back to California for a sports director position in Fresno at KJEO-TV (Independent) where he witnessed Fresno State’s historical “Freedom Bowl” win over USC in 1992. After Fresno, his career took him to Dallas, Texas where he anchored weekend sports for two-year stints at both KTVT-TV (CBS) and KDFW-TV (FOX). While in Dallas, Moncure traveled with the Dallas Cowboys and covered their Super Bowl XXX win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also handled locker room duties after the Dallas Stars won their only Stanley Cup over the Buffalo Sabres. Additionally, Moncure has worked in the nation’s top media markets, Los Angeles’ KNBC-TV (NBC) and KCOP-TV (FOX) and Philadelphia’s WPHL-TV.
    Moncure, a native of Los Angeles, graduated from Chico State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.
