California Wildfire Calls for Immediate Relief

Wildfire season continues to burn out west destroying more than 580 homes. With close to little or nothing left, many victims have found themselves spending the night in community shelters.  Over 62,000 acres consumed by the heavy fire and ordering mandatory evacuations for more than 19,300 residents, wildfires happen in a moment’s quickness and force victims out of their homes taking very little with them as they evacuate.

The American Red Cross disaster teams are hard at work coordinating relief efforts to help evacuees with shelter and necessary resources like providing meals, personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and health services.

The Red Cross urges you to donate to those suffering from dangerous California wildfires.

A few ways people can donate are:

  1. Text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation
        2. Call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767)
        3. Visit redcross.org/donate
