Posada Navideña, a very special and important event for the Bay Area Latino community, returns for the eighth consecutive year to the Wells Fargo Center for Arts as part of the Rodney Strong Vineyards Dance Series. The show highlights the multi-cultural aspects and diversity of Sonoma County’s Wine Country community through a performance featuring Mexican folklore and dance.
As a beloved tradition for many families, the Posada Navideña production is a festive and fun performance that can be a cultural bridge reaching all neighbors of the community. This year, Posada Navideña is directed by Dr. Zenón Barrón. Dr. Barrón earned his Ph.D. in dances with a thesis in diverse indigenous communities from Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes in México City. In this exhilarating production, you will “transport” to México for an uplifting dose of the beautiful culture and colorful customs.
