Rotary Club of San Jose Brings Fireworks Back to Downtown

Silicon Valley’s most prominent and established service club, the Rotary Club of San Jose, is bringing fireworks to Downtown San Jose for the first time since 2008.

The Rotary Centennial Fireworks Show will take place over Discovery Meadow July 4 at 9:15 p.m.

The Rotary Centennial Fireworks are being staged as a gift from the Rotary Club to the community to celebrate the Club’s 100-year anniversary and serve as a fun and safe alternative to illegal fireworks.

“Hosting a world class fireworks show for San Jose is one of many gifts from our Club to the community to celebrate the Club’s 100-year anniversary,” said Carl Salas, President of the Rotary Club of San Jose. “We are grateful for the support of the City and the County and we are particularly pleased at the collaborative effort shown by these two organizations in bringing back this sorely missed and much anticipated community event.”

The show is supported by grants from Rotary, all 10 councilmembers and the mayor of the City Of San Jose, the Office of Cultural Affairs, County Board of Supervisors, and the following generous sponsors:

PG&E, Adobe, Kaiser Permanente, Focus Business Bank, Silicon Valley Capital Club, Comcast, NBC Bay Area, Telemundo, VTA, Catered Too, Orloff-Williams, Green Team, Green Waste, KLIV, KEZR and Mix 106.5.
