Easter Festivities Take Over Bay Area

The Bay Area was in a festive mood this Easter weekend.

In San Francisco, the annual Union Street Easter Parade provided fun for the family at no cost. Attendees saw a parade of Bunny cars, petting zoos, live entertainment and even a few festive contests. The events took place along Union Street between Gough and Fillmore streets.

Ghirardelli Easter Festival also kicked off Sunday in the city, with attendees dining on a fair share of chocolate eggs and bunnies.

In San Jose, a blue egg hunt drew large crowds at the Oak Grove High School. The proceeds from the hunt went to the Pacific Autism Center for Education.

Meanwhile, Benicia, Campbell, Danville, Discovery Bay, Lafayette, San Carlos and Union City hosted egg hunts at local community centers.
