Pittsburg Father Performs Anti-Bullying Song on ‘The Meredith Vieira Show'

Khari Touré, an Oakland native raising three daughters in Pittsburg, will perform his anti-bullying YouTube hit "Love Yourself" on "The Meredith Vieira Show" on Friday.

The video for "Love Yourself" has been viewed more than 6.7 million times since it was released in August.

"It was a love letter not only to my daughters, but to every child who's been bullied, made fun of, and made to feel less-than, unworthy or unattractive," Touré told TODAY Parents. He said that his two older children, aged 15 and six respectively, have in the past been teased for their appearances.

Building self-empowerment has long been a special mission for Touré, who is also a poet, spoken word artist and published author of a book called "Curvy and Confident."
