SPAM will promote its tinned meat products via a food truck stopping in the Bay Area this week.

According to Inside Scoop SF, the local stops on the "SPAMERICAN Tour" will include a dish created by Food Network star Sunny Anderson as well as a "SPAMmy tots" of shaved SPAM, raw ahi tuna poke, fried nigiri rice and blood orange teriyaki sauce from chef Robert Lam of San Francisco's Butterfly.

The truck will swing by the Giants vs. Dodgers game from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, the Daly City Safeway (601 Westlake Center) from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, and at Pier 39 from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Meanwhile in the fine dining world, San Francisco restaurant Liholiho Yacht Club is currently creating its own version of the spreadable animal meat with premium ingredients.
